- Prep Time
- 1 1/2 pounds apples, peeled, cored and finely chopped or grated
- 1 cup walnuts, finely chopped
- 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- Sweet red wine or grape juice to moisten
- 1 to 2 teaspoons of sugar
- Combine all the ingredients in a wooden bowl and chop to combine. Cover tightly and store in the refrigerator.
