2/3cupmargarinemelted
1cupsugar
1teaspoonvanilla extract
1/4cupcocoa powder
2 2/12 - 3cupall purpose flour
2cuppowdered sugar
2 1/2tablespoonpeanut butter
3-4tablespoonwarm water
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix peanut chews into chocolate crumbs and set aside. Grease and flour tube pan. Pour one half of the cake batter into the prepared pan. Sprinkle one third of the chocolate crumb peanut mixture on top of the batter. Pour the rest of the batter on top of the crumbs and place in oven for 15 min. After 15 minutes take another third of crumb-chew mixture and sprinkle on top of the slightly set cake. Bake for another 40 to 50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into cake comes out clean.
Cool in pan. When cool insert a long knife blade and run it along the inside of the cake. This will loosen it from the pan. Remove inner tube of pan and place on a cake plate. Drizzle with peanut butter glaze if desired. If baking in a 9x13 bake for 30-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into cake comes out clean. About 16 servings in a tube pan, and 24 servings in a 9x13.
Chocolate Crumbs
This makes more crumbs than needed for this recipe. They freeze beautifully and can be sprinkled on any random cake or cupcake that needs some dressing up.
In a large microwave proof bowl melt margarine. Add the rest of the ingredients and with your hands rub the ingredients together to form crumbs. (This must be done by hand).
Peanut Butter Glaze
Mix all ingredients together until you get a drizzling consistency. If still to thick add more water.
