The Israel Trip of a Lifetime

It has always been my dream to share my love and passion for my homeland, Israel, with as many people as possible. Inspired by this desire, we launched a ‘WIN A TRIP TO ISRAEL’ contest last year to share the wonders of Israel with one lucky winner. The prize included a trip for two to Israel, a four night stay at the luxurious Waldorf Astoria Jerusalem hotel, a customized tour with Israel’s ministry of tourism Go Israel and a day with me in Jerusalem.

Go Israel created an incredible, custom itinerary for our winner, Emily Bakst who traveled with her mom and brother from Tampa, Florida for what she described as “an amazing experience that will last a lifetime. We enjoyed an awesome itinerary, beautiful excursions, great tour guide (Miri) and driver (Meir), and a wonderful day with Jamie!” It is now Emily’s dream to return to Israel and explore the country further.

Sun. March 11- DAY 1

Arrival at Ben Gurion International Airport at 17:30- Welcome by a
representative of the Ministry of Tourism.

Check in at the Leonardo Plaza Hotel, Jerusalem.

Mon. March 12- DAY 2

Breakfast at the hotel.

8:30 Check out from Leonardo Plaza Hotel. Meet tour guide
Ms. Miri Cohen at the hotel lobby.

9:20 Arrival to the Western Wall.

9:40 Get your Binoculars and enjoy a VR tour to see how the holy Temple
looked like thousands of years ago.

Visit the Western Wall Tunnels Excavations and have a guided tour.

Go on a classic tour of the old city of Jerusalem and the Old City’s
Market.

Continue to Mamilla – have a guided tour and free time at your leisure.

19:30 Dinner at the Joy Restaurant, Jerusalem.

Overnight at the Waldorf Asotria Hotel, Jerusalem.

Tue. March 13- DAY 3

Breakfast at the hotel.

DAY WITH JAMIE

9:00 Visit Ir David (City of David) – ongoing archaeological excavations of
ancient Jerusalem.

13:00 Visit Mahane Yehuda Market.

15:00 Explore the Israel Museum to see the Model of Jerusalem from the Second Temple Period Shrine of the Book, exhibiting
the famous Dead Sea Scrolls (earliest biblical texts).

19:30 Dinner at the Eucalyptus Restaurant, Jerusalem.

Overnight at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel, Jerusalem.

Wed. March 14- DAY 4

Breakfast at the hotel.

8:00 Drive to the Dead Sea.

9:00 Float in the Dead Sea – Neve Midbar Beach (Oasis).

12:30 Visit Yad Vashem- a National Memorial and Museum of the Holocaust.

Free time at your leisure.
