Place fruit and sugar in a 12-inch sauté pan over medium-high heat and bring to a boil. Stir frequently as sugar dissolves and fruit begins to break down. Reduce heat to medium, add vodka and continue stirring while gently mashing berries. Cook for 5 to 7 minute more, stirring constantly until mix becomes thicker and syrup-like.
Remove from heat and pour into a small bowl set atop a larger bowl of ice water. Wait 30 to 44 seconds to allow jam to set. Cool to room temperature before serving, or cover tightly and refrigerate for up to 2 weeks.
