Braised Eye Chuck Roast

Ingredients

  • 1-5 pound Eye Chuck Roast usually comes tied up
  • 1 cup prpared horse radish
  • 3 medium carrots sliced
  • 1 large onion sliced
  • 1/4 cup sweet red wine
  • onion powder to taste
  • garlic powder to tase

Instructions

  • Season Roast with Onion powder and garlic powder. Place sliced oion and carrot on the bottom of Roaster, forming a bed. place Raost on the bed, pour the wine ofver the roast, and then smear the horse radish over the top and sides of the roast.
  • Cook covered on the stove top for 2 hours medium flame, until a thermometer placed inthe center of the roast reads medium done, about 2 hours.
  • remove from heat, wait 20 minutes. open lid, remove raost to platter, spoon out vegetables from bottom of roaster. If you desire you can thicken the jus naturel into a gravy. 12-15 portions..
