You know I’m usually all about that “Quick, Clean, and Flavorful” life in the kitchen, but lately, I’ve been trading my apron for my walking shoes. While I’ll always love a good sheet-pan dinner, there is something about the energy of Jerusalem that feeds the soul in a way no recipe can.
As many of you know, my heart is deeply rooted in Israel. In my role as Aish’s Global Spokesperson, I’m lucky enough to spend a lot of time in the Rova (the Old City). There is a magic here—a mix of ancient history and vibrant Jewish life—that I just couldn’t keep to myself anymore.
I wanted to find a way to bring you here with me. Not just to see the sights, but to feel the heartbeat of our people.

What is “Jamie in the Rova”?
I am so thrilled to introduce my brand-new YouTube series: Jamie in the Rova.
This isn’t a cooking show (though you know we’ll probably find some great coffee!). It’s a bi-weekly journey through the ancient, sun-drenched alleyways of Jerusalem. In each episode, I’m sitting down with some truly incredible public figures for authentic, “real-talk” conversations about life, faith, and what it means to be a part of this beautiful Jewish family.
We walk, we talk, and we end every episode in the most powerful way possible: at the Aish World Center, overlooking the Kotel (the Western Wall), with a meaningful prayer.
Episode 1: Female Empowerment with Fleur Hassan-Nahoum
For our premiere episode, I sat down with the incredible Fleur Hassan-Nahoum, former Deputy Mayor of Jerusalem.

More Love
Fleur is a powerhouse, a mother, and a global Jewish leader. We had such a moving, candid talk about the unique power of this city, the challenges of leadership, and how we maintain our unity as a family. Trust me, you don’t want to miss her insights—it’s exactly the kind of inspiration we all need right now.

Join Me Every Step of the Way
I’ll be sharing a new episode here on the blog to keep the inspiration flowing! For the first month, we’ll be releasing new episodes every Monday and Thursday, and then we’ll move to a weekly schedule.
Ready, set, watch! I hope this series brings a little bit of the “Joy” of Jerusalem into your home, wherever you are in the world.
Because in the middle of our busy lives-between the laundry piles and the school runs-we all need a moment to reconnect to our roots and our heart.
It’s all about connection, warmth, and a little bit of Jerusalem magic.
Who’s with me? Leave a comment below and let me know what you thought of the first episode! I’d love to hear who you’d like to see me walk the Rova with next.
