Mindy Segal

Written by a self-proclaimed cookie nerd, Cookie Love is a book dedicated to creating every type of cookie imaginable. Author Mindy Segal is a James Bear Award winner for Outstanding Pastry Chef in the Country due to her creative creations at Chicago’s popular Hot Chocolate Restaurant and Dessert Bar. Top-notch photos of every recipe (we love that) are literally mouthwatering and the accuracy and detail in which each recipe is explained ensures perfect results every time. (After reviewing the book, we made a batch of her chocolate chip cookies and they were incredible!) The 289-page book combines classic cookies and outrageous creations such as a peanut butter toffee cookie and spins on rugelach your bubby never imagined. The book provides an opportunity to learn from a pastry master and there are plenty of tips and tricks that will change the way you think about cookies. KASHRUT NOTE: There is one recipe (a bacon cookie) that is not kosher.
