Peach BBQ Sauce

PEACH BBQ SAUCE OVER GRILLED CHICKEN

Make your own homemade BBQ sauce, so simple and flavorful. Adjust the seasoning to your specific liking, once you start making your own you won’t want to go back.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 1 pound frozen sliced peaches defrosted
  • 1 28-ounce can crushed tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 3 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon grainy mustard
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt

Instructions

  • Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium high heat. Add onion and sauté for 5 o 7 minutes or until beginning to soften. Add remaining ingredients, except salt, and bring to a boil. Reduce to a simmer and cook for 15 to 20 minutes or until peaches are soft. Let cool slightly. Add salt and puree in a blender or food processor until smooth. Great on chicken!
