Beef with Broccoli

Ingredients
- 1 pound tender beef, cut across grain into 2-inch strips
- 1-2 pounds fresh broccoli
- 3 tablespoons canola oil
- 2 tablespoons plus one teaspoon fresh ginger, chopped
- 3 green onions, cut into 2-inch pieces, sliced on diagonal
- 1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon cornstarch plus 2 tablesppons water, for thickening
- Marinade
- 2 teaspoons Sugar
- 1 tablespoon low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon plus one teaspoon cornstarch
- 2 Tablespoons cold water
- Sauce
- 3 tablespoons Low sodium soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon blackstrap molasses
- 1 tablespoon dry red wine
- 2 teaspoons Sugar
- 1/2 cup water plus 1/2 teaspoon pareve chicken soup mix, prepared according to package directions

Preparation
1 Mix together marinade ingredients and marinate meat for 30 minutes.
2 Combine ingredients for sauce and set aside. Boil water in pot, and immerse broccoli for 30 seconds. Rinse under cold water and place in separate bowl.
3 Heat 2 tablespoons oil in a frying pan and add marinated meat. Stir-fry for 5-6 minutes, or until meat is browned.
4 Remove meat to a separate bowl. Add 1 tablespoon oil, ginger, and green onions to frying pan and stir-fry for 30 seconds to 1 minute. Add sauce.
5 Bring to a boil. Mix cornstarch and water and add to sauce, stirring constantly. Return meat and broccoli to pan and heat thoroughly.
Special instructions
The fresh ginger makes this dish spectacular.
