Fresh Mint Lemonade
The trick to making good lemonade is to use a simple syrup which is made with equal parts water and sugar. Simple syrup can be used for the base of many drinks, including sangria. Serve with Beef Sausage and Pepper Rolls.

Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 4 cups cold water, divided
- 1 cup freshly squeezed
- 3 sprigs fresh mint
Preparation
1. In a small saucepan over medium heat, mix sugar with 1 cup water. Cook until sugar dissolves, stirring continually, for 3 to 5 minutes.
2. Pour the sugar syrup, lemon juice, and remaining 3 cups water into a pitcher; add mint and stir well.
3. Serve in tall glasses over ice.
