Ginger Snap Tuile

  • 3/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 4 egg whites
  • 1/4 cup + 1/2 Tablespoon parve margarine
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground clove
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • a pinch of cayenne


Melt the margarine. Sift together the powdered sugar, flour, and spices. Pour the margarine in the dry ingredients and mix well with a soft spatula or wooden spoon. Add the eggs whites and mix until smooth. Spread out thinly onto a 9 “13 baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a silicone mat. Bake for 12-15 minutes on 350 degree F until golden brown. The recipe will make two pans of tuile. Either cut tuile into triangles when slightly warm but not hot or when tuile is cooled roughly break up and eat as is or place one or two pieces on top of the Chocolate Almond Panna Cotta.
