Servings

2 Servings

Ingredients

  • 2 cups shredded cabbage
  • 1 golden delicious apple
  • 1 ½ tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons orange juice
  • ½ teaspoon turmeric
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper butcher ground
  • Pinch of salt
  • ¼ cup sliced almonds

Instructions

  • Cut the apple in quarters. Remove the inner cores of each apple piece by laying the flat side down on a cutting board and cutting on a diagonal. Cut off the peel along with some of the apple flesh too. Repeat with the remaining apple quarters. Once all of the apples are peeled, slice the apple peels into bite sized pieces. Makes approximately ¾ cup of apple peels. Reserve the peeled apple for another recipe.
  • In a small serving bowl, toss together the apple peels with the remaining ingredients.

You really should suggest using organic apples.. I don’t think I would ever use pesticide treated apple peels as a recipe ingredient.
