Healthy Chocolate Spread

This Healthy Chocolate Spread is so delicious and chocolatey you won't even notice it's made with healthy ingredients. My kids love it in their school lunchboxes every day. I often double the recipe so I have a full jar ready in the fridge for easy sandwich-making all week long. It's also a great dip for fruits and crackers when you need a quick chocolate fix!

  • 3 dates chopped
  • 2 tablespoons carob powder
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup silaan (date honey)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/3 cup tahini


1. Combine all ingredients except tahini into a saucepan and bring to a boil. Stir constantly until tickened. If clumpy, use a wooden spoon to smoothen the mixture.

2. Once thouroughly combined, remove from heat. Add tahini and mix well. Allow to cool, then transfer to a glass jar.

Can be stored in the fridge 1-2 weeks.
