Ingredients
Cookies:
- 1 1/4 cups flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
- 1 large egg
Cream Filling:
- 1/4 cup butter or margarine
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 2 cups confectioners' sugar
- 1 large egg
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
Preparation
Cookies:
1. Preheat oven to 375⁰F.
2. Combine flour, cocoa, baking soda, salt, and sugar in electric mixer. While mixing, add butter or margarine, and egg.
3. Place rounded teaspoons on lined baking sheet and bake for 9 minutes at 375⁰F.
Cream Filling:
1. Combine butter or margarine, shortening, confectioners’ sugar, egg, and vanilla.
2. Pipe into center of cookies.
