Ingredients
- 2 cups water
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup fresh mint leaves
- 4 Cups Kentucky Bourbon (Such as Maker’s Mark or Maker’s 46)
- 8 mint sprigs for garnish
- Crushed Ice
Preparation
- Combine water, sugar and mint leaves in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil over high heat and swirl the pot until the sugar is dissolved. Allow syrup to cool, approximately 1 hour. Remove mint leaves. Refrigerate until ready to use.
- To serve, fill eight cups with crushed ice and pour 4 ounces of bourbon and 1/4 cup mint syrup in each. Garnish with mint sprigs
