Named after an Italian count who requested the original cocktail we can now enjoy too using Luxardo in place of Campari. Try this recipe for Kosher Negroni and enjoy it all Summer long. Unless your Campari is produced in Israel, it is not kosher. However one of my favorite alternate-brand companies, Luxardo, has come to the rescue.

Negroni
Servings
1 Servings
Ingredients
- 1 part gin I really like Breuckelen Glorious Gin for this
- 1 part sweet vermouth Kedem is the only kosher brand on the market currently
- 1 part Luxardo
Instructions
- Stir everything together in a glass with ice and garnish with a lemon peel. Bright and citrusy and just enough bitterness to keep everything in check.

Hi, great question. I don’t believe the Campari outside of Israel is kosher at this time.
As of 2006, Campari replaced the carmine (beetle juice) for the red coloring with artificial coloring. Does anyone know if its Kosher now?
