- 4 sushi-grade tuna steaks
- About ½ cup ground black pepper
- Store bought wasabi mayo, or make your own
- 4 tablespoons wasabi powder
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 tablespoon water
1 Heat nonstick pan over medium/high heat until it is very hot.
2 Rub black pepper all over tuna steaks.
3 Drizzle oil into hot pan and place the tuna steaks into the pan.
4 Sear the tuna on each side for about 3 minutes if you like it rare, and 6 minutes if you prefer it well done.
5 Remove the fish from the pan and let it rest before slicing. Then slice it into cubes or long strips. Place sliced tuna on skewers and serve with wasabi dipping sauce on the side.
