- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 lbs green beans, ends trimmed
- 1 large onion, quartered and sliced
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
1 Preheat the oven to 400F. Line a baking sheet with heavy-duty aluminum foil. Pour the olive oil onto the foil and use a bit of a paper towel or a pastry brush to spread it around. Add the green beans and onions and stir to coat with oil. Sprinkle the salt over the beans and stir to distribute.
2 Bake at 400F for 45 to 60 mins, until the onions, are soft and begin to caramelize. Stir every 20 mins. When the beans are done, remove from the oven. Put the beans in a serving bowl. Add the balsamic vinegar and stir. Serve warm, cold, or at room temperature.
