  • 1 package wonton wrappers
  • 1 cup cabbage shredded
  • 1 cup carrot shredded
  • 1/2 cup mushrooms diced
  • 1/2 cup leeks diced
  • 2 tablespoon fresh ginger minced
  • 1 tablespoon garlic minced
  • 1/4 cup cilantro
  • 1/4 cup onion minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon Five Spice Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon white pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce low sodium
  • 1/4 cup Rice Wine Vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1/4 cup scallions diced
  • 1 tablespoon Sriracha or Sambal

Add canola oil to hot wok or heavy skillet. Add garlic and ginger and saute for almost a minute until aromatic. Add carrots, onions, and leeks. Stir in mushrooms and cabbage. Season with Five Spice Powder, salt and pepper. Add cilantro. When veggies are soft, remove to colander and allow to drain and cool.

Keep wonton wrappers covered with thin damp cloth while working to prevent drying. Spoon about 1 tsp vegetable mixture to center of wonton wrapper. Use finger to moisten edges and seal carefully making the bottom to sit flat. Place on platter and continue until all wrappers are filled.

Add a small amount of olive oil to non-stick pot. Place filled wontons/pot stickers in hot oil being careful not to over-crowd. Cook until bottoms of pot stickers are brown. Carefully pour 1/4 cup water into pot and cover immediately. Allow all water to evaporate (some oil may remain) and pot stickers are steamed. Remove to platter and continue until all are steamed and browned.

Serve with dipping sauce.
