that’s so funny bc lately I have been making lots of minty chocolate desserts, like this Mint Chocolate and Lavender Popcorn: http://www.joyofkosher.com/recipes/mint-chocolate-and-lavender-popcorn/ and truffles with crushed peppermint candies.
I’m a biased person. To me Chocolate Bark should always be peppermint flavored. But the fruits and nuts that top this bark make the recipe so beautiful! And the sweet and salty mix they add are great!
YAY! thanks for sharing!
great. skipped raisins though, 72% amazing results
awesome!!! and so happy and so totally agree!!!
I made this to put into my Chanukah and Christmas cookie gift baskets. I used dried cranberries instead of the figs. It was absolutely delicious. Everyone loved it. The possibilities for toppings is endless.
YUHUM! I have recently become obsessed with 72% bittersweet
I use 60% dark chocolate and add craisins or raisins and chopped almonds. I put it the freezer to harden and then break into pieces and keep it frozen till almost ready to serve.
oh for sure! have fun with the mix ins, when I am feeling wild and crazy I break candy bars and other goodies into the bark instead of dried fruits and nuts.
Chocolate bark can be made with any chocolate and any filling, sometimes I let the kids choose from a selection of nuts and dried fruit then pour on the chocolate and they each get their own bark.
Could you use dark chocolate or a mixture of chocolate? Sounds really good and will try.
The kids and I made this for Shabbat this week. They each got their own bowl to fill with their choice of nuts, dried fruits, rice krispies, cacao nibs and then I melted the chocolate in the microwave and poured some into each bowl. They mixed them up and spread them onto some parchment paper for a Shabbos treat and they loved licking the spoon for their pre Shabbos treat.
