What do you think? I just shared such a large piece of my heart and soul and I am sure you have lots of follow up questions.
Personal, technical, I am ready to answer. I will be holding two “BUILDING THE DREAM” LIVE EVENTS to answer all your burning Qs. You can post your questions in the comments here to ensure a response. I will also be fielding some questions and comments LIVE but can’t promise I will get to each and every one.
Sunday January 26 I will be LIVE on Facebook at 9am Eastern Time and on Instagram at 10am Eastern Time.
In BUILDING THE DREAM you had the chance to meet many of the top of the line contractors I was blessed to work with Metropolitan Israel, Bentzi Back and Tzvi Air. A word about Tzvi…. he is the absolute best in the business in ALL OF ISRAEL. I have the most cost effective, efficient, smart, and beautiful cooling and heating system. I might not have a fancy shmancy kitchen yet — but boy is my system a beauty and possibly my most favorite decorative finish in the house (who knew you could love sheetrock work and grills so much?!).
Can’t wait to see you LIVE!
Love, Jamie

I feel your pain and joy. We were told by our kids in RBS, not to buy on paper – our marriage would not survive. Yes, it would have been less expensive and the wait would try our patience so we bought an older but beautiful apartment with a garden near our kids and grand kids, near Mishkafyim. We are so happy to be home! This is the only place in the world to raise Jewish children. This is OUR land, OUR state and no one in the universe can refute this truth. Let ’em try. Mazel tov and much nachas in YOUR home. Now to see the kitchen – I can just image and drool. Brachot and hatzlacha.

P.S. I think my granddaughter and your daughter were in the same summer camp a few years ago.
AMEN AMEN AMEN! It was worth posting our story for this blessing alone. And you should be blessed by everything AWESOME in your life that you hope an dream for!
WOWWWWW I am blown away by this comment. So many of us say things in passing that can be profound but we need others to point it out. Thank you for highlighting that line — even for me!
LOL — he takes everything in stride. I color mine!
so so so glad you enjoyed!
it’s my absolute pleasure it’s from the heart!
Hi Yocheved. I know your heart is here — it’s the same way for everyone BH! My Hebrew hasn’t improved much bc I live in a very anglo neighborhood but I would say my vocabulary has improved.
The accent is a hard thing to get rid of the older you are but if I focused and did ulpan and spoke more it would be better. As for the “red tape” you just get used to the system of doing things here — thank G-d the healthcare system has been good to us BH!.
Kol Hakovod to u. I am older than u, w/all my children & my grandchildren here in New York ,so i’m not leaving, but my heart is there in Yerushalayim. I envy you- you are living my dream. I wonder about 2 items- i speak a typical american hebrew- my friends who made aliyah, went to ulpan, but still speak like me. Has your hebrew improved, and how do u manage with the red tape there- like in health care, mainly.
WONDERFUL, JAMIE! Thank you for sharing!
Thanks for the insight. Good show!
I am surprised your husband still has hair and it is not white!
Jamie, you are quite the role model and philosopher. “When you focus on the good the list is endless?” That kernel of wisdom is lost to many of our friends. But as long as you have voice it will ring through the skies. Thank you for just being you and seeing the good.
Thank you for this episode!! I began following you waaayy back… one of the reasons was I could relate to you and your stories. You have always been “honest” good about what you do and how you do it, and because of that you are inspiring. Your story is “perfect”, not because is problem free, but because Hashem made it that way. We ALL learned from you and the way you faced this “inconvenient” and turned it into a blessing. I’m sure your kitchen will be AWESOME!!!!
