Gitta Bixenspanner, ND
Growing up in Sao Paulo, Brazil, I was introduced to every type of fruit and vegetable abundantly available in that part of the world. Our produce shopping was done in the weekly open market, with reams and reams of fruits and vegetables of every kind piled high in stall after stall. Marriage brought me to Montreal where I spent 30 years teaching and raising my family. My interest in meal designing and planning started out as a hobby as a result of my interest in nutrition and cooking. I enjoy sharing this hobby on local publications and at www.aish.com, as well as through my most recent book, Kosher Classics: Menus and Customs Around the Jewish Year.
