When the last day of Passover falls on Shabbat it means that even those living in Israel have an 8th day.  Since the day before is Yom Tov, everyone needs a really good, use up all my Passover ingredients Shabbat dinner.  So let’s join together for a Passover Shabbat dinner like no other.

Whole Wheat Spinach Matzo Balls

Make a different kind of matzo balls this week with some spinach mixed inside and serve in your favorite chicken soup recipe.

Matzo Fried Chicken and Onion Rings

Use up that matzo meal with the best fried chicken ever and serve with fried onion rings.

    Yes but here in Israel we can buy kosher for Passover beans and rice and make them for Shabbat!

    Sure, I actually had the same thing this past weekend and I made a Passover Cholent based on this Lemon Lamb Stew – http://www.joyofkosher.com/recipes/lemon-lamb-cholent/ – I used quinoa in place of rice and left out the chickpeas – I don’t have a slow cooker for Pesach so I put it in a tin in the oven and it came out really great and the kids at my table loved it. I did just lamb but you can add in chicken legs as the recipe states if you like.

    I served kugel on the side and some salads and spreads to start the meal, everyone was happy.

    the last Passover shabbos dinner menu looks great,however I need something kid friendly and feeds a lot of guests for Friday and Shabbos lunch. I do not have a fancy kitchen so shabbos lunch needs to be in crockpot with sides. Any suggestions?
