Breakfast Green Smoothie

Have you gone green with your smoothie yet? It’s a smart, easy way to get lots of vitamins at the start of your day.

Instead of buying almond milk, you can soak raw almonds the night before, then rinse and process before adding the rest of the ingredients to your smoothie. Use 2 tablespoons almonds with 1 cup water for every 1 cup milk.

If using a frozen banana you shouldn’t need ice, but feel free to add some if you like extra icey.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh spinach (or ¼ cup frozen)
  • 1 frozen banana, sliced
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • ½ tablespoon tahini

Preparation

  1. Place spinach, banana, almond milk, and tahini in a blender.
  2. Process until smooth.
