Typically we think of cedar planks for the grill, but you can easily use them in your oven, try it. Plan ahead, the planks need to soak and the chicken needs to marinate.

- 1 whole chicken, cut into 1/8ths
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 2 tablespoons Zaatar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped garlic
- 2 large cedar planks
1 Put the chicken and the rest of the ingredients in a large ziploc bag. Make sure the chicken is coated and allow to marinate overnight.
2 Soak the cedar planks in water for at least an hour. Just before cooking lightly coat the planks with oil to prevent sticking.
3 Preheat oven to 350 or turn on your grill. Place the chicken on the planks and place in the oven or grill.
4 Bake or grill about 40 minutes or until internal temperatue reaches 165.
