Fresh Salmon Burger

Burgers don't have to mean meat.  Salmon makes a fantastic burger and it freezes well too. Filled with heart healthy omega-3 fats, these salmon burgers make the perfect weekday dinner to satisfy the whole family.

  • 1 pound skinless salmon fillet, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 tablespoon cilantro
  • 2 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoon grainy mustard
  • ½ teaspoon lime zest
  • 4 whole wheat buns, split
  • ½ cup watercress
  • 4 tablespoon Wasabi Mayo

  • 2 radishes, thinly sliced


  1. In a food processor, combine salmon, garlic, cilantro, soy sauce, mustard, and lime zest. Pulse to chop and combine until a coarse mixture is formed. Form 4 patties and place on a greased sheet pan. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate at least 1 hour, or overnight.
  2. Cook burgers on a preheated grill for 12 to 15 minutes per side. Remove from grill and let rest for 5 minutes. Place each burger on a whole wheat bun with a few watercress leaves, 1 tablespoon Wasabi Mayo, and a few radish slices.
