Honey Poached Pears with Amaretti Raisin Topping

Ingredients
- 1 firm ripe pear, peeled 1 c. red wine
- 1/4 c. honey
- 1/4 c. water
- 1-1/2 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice
- Peel of 1/4 lemon (1/2 teaspoon)
- 3/4 c. California raisins 1/4 c. coarsely crushed amaretti cookiesHoney Cream
- 2 tbsp. lowfat sour cream
- 1/2 tsp. honey
- Pinch of cinnamon

1 Cut each pear in half; remove core and seeds with a small knife or melon baller.
2 Place in large saucepan with wine, honey, water, lemon juice and lemon peel.
3 Bring to boil; reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes. Turn pears over and simmer for 10 minutes more.
4 Remove from liquid and let cool.
5 Place 3/4 cup poaching liquid in small saucepan with raisins. Bring to boil; reduce heat and simmer over low heat for 10 minutes or until raisins are plump and sauce is syrupy.
6 Place each pear half, cut side up, on individual dessert plate. Top with equal amounts of raisins.
7 Then, sprinkle with crushed cookies.
8 Stir together sour cream, honey and cinnamon; place a spoonful beside each serving.
