Italian Tomato Salad

This Italian Tomato Salad is versatile and easy to make. Make it for your next Shabbat meal, picnic, or any weeknight dinner. 

Mix red, yellow, and orange grape tomatoes for a spectacular look and line the bowl with a few large red cabbage leaves for a gorgeous presentation.

Make sure to use a great quality extra virgin olive oil. We love Colavita!

  • 2 (10-ounce) boxes grape tomatoes, cut in half through stem end


  • ½ cup extra virgin olive oil, such as Colavita
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic
  • 2 teaspoons dried oregano
  • 2 teaspoons basil
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper


1. Place tomatoes in medium bowl.

2. In a small bowl, mix evoo, vinegar, garlic, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Pour over tomatoes.

3. Toss and serve.
