Margarita Sherbet

  • 2 cups fresh orange juice (about 5 oranges)
  • 1/3 cup fresh lime or lemon juice
  • 1 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 cup sweetened non-dairy liquid creamer


Make sure ice cream maker insert has been in the freezer for 24 hours.  Add all ingredients to your ice cream maker.  Follow the directions on your ice cream maker.  Allow the Sherbet freeze.  The amount of time varies on each machine.  When the Sherbet cream is the right consistency, slightly firm, put the ice cream in a container in the freezer and continue freezing until it is frozen to your liking, approximately 2-4 hours (minimum)

For a different flavor, you can substitute 1 cup fresh pink grapefruit juice if you prefer and 1/3 cup fresh tangerine juice in place of the orange juice for a real zing. Continue with the same amount of lime juice.
