These are so easy, so versatile and a great activity with your kids where they can lick their hands and the bowl to their heart’s content. You might just want to have a batch ready to go.

Pareve Chocolate Truffles
Servings
Ingredients
- 1 12-ounce bag pareve dark chocolate chips
- ¾ cup coconut milk
- 1 tablespoon flavored extract of your choice optional
- Cocoa powder
- Cinnamon optional
Instructions
- 1 Pour chocolate chips in a large glass bowl. 2 Heat coconut milk in a saucepan until just boiling. Pour immediately over chocolate and stir. If the chocolate does not melt enough, put over a pot of boiling water while continuing to stir until all mixed and melted in, add extract and stir. 3 Now you have made ganache which can be used on a cake or in this case put in the fridge until chilled a few hours or overnight. 4 Using a melon baller, scoop out balls of chocolate ganache, dust with cocoa powder and/or cinnamon and lay on wax paper. 5 Keep cool, the best place to store is a wine fridge.

These truffles are perfect to make for shabbat!! They are super easy and although I didn’t have melon baller scoop I just used my hands. It was a bit messy but super tasty!
I like to use the chips because they are even in size so they melt well and at the same time. You can definitely chop up a slab, but try and keep the cut pieces small and uniform.
Hi. Can one use normal cooking chocolate slab or does it make a difference to use chocolate chips? Thanks
Good question! A standard bag of chocolate chips is 12 oz. or around 2 cups. As for the ratings, 1 star is the lowest and 5 stars is the highest, so I hope you will try the recipe and come back to give it higher rating :).
This recipe certainly look easy and i would love to try it. I have just one question please. The first ingredient are the chocolate chips. Since they are manufactured by different companies and also are distributed in different size bags, perhaps it would be easier for me as well as anyone else attempting to try the recipe to have something more substantial in the way of ingredient direction i.e. 12 oz? 16 oz? 2 cups? 3 cups? etc. If you were to please advise the amount necessary, it would be greatly appreciated. PS i also see that i cannot submit my comment/query without selecting a rating..it would be nice if i knew if 1 is the best rating or the lowest?
