  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 1/2 cups pine nuts
  • 2 tablespoons margarine
  • 1 teaspoon Sabra Red Schug
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set it aside.

2. Using a candy thermometer, heat the sugar, corn syrup and water over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally. When the mixture comes to a boil, leave it alone until the temperature reaches 310 degrees F.

3. Immediately remove from the heat and stir in the pine nuts. Then add in the margarine, Sabra Red Schug, salt and baking soda and stir with a wooden spoon.

4. Mix quickly until all ingredients are dissolved then pour out onto the parchment lined baking sheet and carefully spread out. Be very careful not to touch the brittle mixture because it is very hot and it will burn your skin. Let the brittle cool then break into pieces.
