Shaken Not Stirred Drink

I like a citrusy spicy drink with a little foam. It took me a while to learn that the foam comes raw egg white. If you don't feel comfortable with that then just leave it out. I also really like this drink with a spicy ginger simple syrup, but you can use your favorite flavor of whatever you have on hand. This drink is based on a piso sour.

  • 2 ounces gin
  • 1 ounce vermouth
  • 1 ounce simple syrup (preferable ginger)
  • 1 ounce lime juice
  • 1 egg white
  • 1 dash bitters


Combine all ingredients with lots of ice in a cocktail shaker.  Shake well for at least 30 seconds to help the egg white foam.  Pour out through the strainer into a glass and top with a maraschino cherry if desired.
