Just wondering. My husband doesn’t care for barley. Can uncooked quinoa be substituted instead? Also, what about the meat? Is there lamb stew chunks also added? This really sounds delicious and I can’t wait to try it.

I was looking at making this for my family but I was wondering the Lamb Shank or Lamb neck is that just the bone for flavor or is there actual meat on it. If it is just the bone then can I use a beef bone instead. or if I was to make it vegetarian then can I just add a beef mix, or onion soup mix for the flavor with some oil? I’m looking for some new slow cooker recipes for Shabbat but also for everyday. This sounds like a good one.
