Tofu with Lemon and Capers

  • 1 lb. tofu, drained
  • 1/2 cup corn starch
  • 6 oz. oyster mushrooms
  • 2 tablespoons capers
  • 1/2 lemon, juiced
  • to taste Salt and Pepper
  • 2 tablespoons oil



1. Heat a large pan over medium high heat. Pour a thin layer of oil into the pan.
2. Cut tofu into squares and dip in cornstarch. Put tofu into the hot oil and cook until browned, flip over and brown other side, remove from pan and place on paper towels.
3. Add mushrooms to pan and saute until brown, add salt and peper to tatse. Pour lemon juice and capers into pan with mushrooms, mix and then pour over tofu.
