Love it or hate it, white chocolate is not everyone’s cup of tea. But White Hot Chocolate is a decadent and delicious version of the classic homemade hot chocolate. White Hot Chocolate is the perfect canvas for add-ins and garnishes. We like ours with all the goodies, and for an adult version, we like to add chocolate flavored liqueur.

Ingredients

2 cups whole milk
4 ounces white chocolate
Dash of vanilla extract
Pinch of sea salt
Garnishes: shaved white milk, and dark chocolate; whipped cream; candy canes; marshmallows; chocolate cookie crumbs; flavored liqueur (for an adult version)

Instructions

Simmer milk, chocolate, vanilla, and salt, whisking occasionally, over low heat until frothy and very hot.
Divide between mugs and garnish.
