Zaatar Crusted Gefilte Fish
This dish combines the old Jewish dish with Mediterranean flavors. Serve it with some Mediterranean dips and win the heart of your guests.

Ingredients
- 1 loaf frozen gefilte fish
- ¼ cup Jamie Geller Za'atar
- ½ teaspoon salt
- Pinch of pepper
- ⅓ cup olive oil
- 1 teaspoon wasabi powder
- Water
- ¼ cup mayonnaise
Preparation
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
2. In a mixing bowl combine the zaatar, salt, pepper and olive oil. Coat generously the frozen fish from all sides and place in a baking pan. Bake for 1 hour, until fully cooked, increase the heat to 425°F and bake for additional 10 minutes and let it get brown and crisp.
3. For the wasabi aioli, slowly combine the wasabi powder with water until it becomes a paste (as instructed on the wasabi powder box). With a whisk or using your fingers, combine the wasabi with the mayonnaise.
4. The dish can be served warm or in room temperature.
