Baked Tofu

Baked Tofu

This recipe is a simple way to prepare tofu.  Eat it just like this hot or cold or add to your favorite noodle or rice dish.  Keep a big batch on hand at all times for a quick source of vegan protein.

  • 1 package extra firm tofu, drained and pressed
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • ⅛ teaspoon garlic chili paste
  • ¼ teaspoon ground ginger
  • Sesame seeds for garnish


1 Cut tofu into cubes. Place tofu in ziplock or bowl. Add soy sauce, sesame oil, honey, rice vinegar, garlic chili paste, and ginger.  Mix well.  
2 Marinate for at least an hour or overnight.
3 Place marinated tofu in baking pan and bake at 375℉ for 1 hour or until browned, basting with sauce as needed.  Sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve hot or cold.
