Sneaky Chocolate Chip Cookies
This is my basic cookie recipe I use all the time. I call them sneaky because they work great with whole grain flour and the oats in the recipe is actually what makes them great. They are still cookies, but at least I get some whole grains in with out any complaints.
These were based on the Mrs. fields cookie recipe that went around the internet years ago.

Ingredients
- 1 cup vegan butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2½ cups oats, blended
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1½ cups chocolate chips
Preparation
1 Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray a baking sheet with cooking spray. Cream butter and sugars with a mixer. When fluffy, add eggs and vanilla.
2 Mix in other ingredients. Spoon out large balls of dough and place 2 inches apart on the cookie sheet.
3 Baked for 12 minutes or until golden brown.
Tip: you can freeze the dough in portioned out balls and only make as many as you want at a time. There is nothing like fresh cookies.
