I haven't tried a real chopped liver recipe, but this Quick & Kosher version make your store bought package taste almost like you made it from scratch.

- 1 container frozen chopped liver, defrosted
- 6 hard boiled eggs
- 1 onion, diced
- salt and pepper
1. Place the chopped liver in a bowl. In a separate bowl, mash the hard boiled eggs to desired consistency.
2. Heat a saute pan over medium heat, once hot add a thin layer of oil and then add onions. Saute add salt and pepper to taste and cook until caramelized, about 20 minutes.
3. Combine chopped liver and eggs and either all or half of onions. Mix it all up and serve with reserved onions on top.
Variation - some people like to mix in 1-2 tablespoons mayonnaise, but I don't feel it is needed with the eggs.
