  • ½ pound puff pastry

  • 4 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 cup MimicCream Healthy Top or heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon grated lemon peel
  • 6 egg yolks

  • 2 tablespoon margarine or butter
  • 4 tablespoon sugar
  • 12 figs, cut into quarters

  • Preheat the oven to high heat (375 degrees F). Grease the tart pan or pans, if you are using the smaller size (tartlet).
  • Lightly flour your kneading surface and roll out the dough into a circle slightly larger than the pan, line the bottom of the pan as well as the sides. If doing tartlets, cut the dough into circles and line in the same way. Prick the surface of the dough with a fork in several places and bake for about 15 minutes, until lightly golden. Remove from the oven (but do not turn it off) and let cool at room temperature. Reduce heat to medium-low - (320 degrees F).

  • Mix the cream, 4 tablespoons sugar, grated lemon rind and egg yolks . Pour into crust dough, Return to the oven and bake tart for 7-10 minutes until it has a darker gold tone and the filling is stabilized. Cool slightly.

To serve:

  • Melt the butter or margarine in a large skillet . Add 4 tablespoons of sugar and stir. Remove the skillet from the stove, add the figs and mix in gently, so that they are nicely covered by the butter mix. Serve immediately.
