- 4 pitted prunes
- 3 lbs of lamb
- 3 Tbsp. olive oil
- 2 onions diced
- 3 tsp cinnnamon
- 2 tsp paprika
- 1/4 tsp. saffron
- 2 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 tsp. cumin
- 4 carrots sliced up
- 1 1/2 tsp Pereg spice for meatballs
- 1 1/2 tsp Freshly ground black pepper
- 3 potatoes peeled and cut up into 2 inch cubes
- 1 tsp salt
- 3 Tbsp. honey
Soak prunes in hot water until ready to use.
Lightly brown the lamb in 2 tbsp. of olive oil and place it into the crockpot.
Using the same pan, saute the onions with all the spices. Place onions into the crockpot as well.
Add carrots, potatoes and the prune mixture with the water into the crockpot. Make sure the meat is covered in water. Sprinkle the salt and honey on top. Let cook and enjoy shabbat day!
