This viral date bark is the perfect mix of chewy, crunchy, and chocolatey goodness. Naturally sweetened with dates, it’s balanced with dark chocolate and a creamy nut or seed butter layer. For extra protein, we’re adding PBfit, and for an elegant twist, you can swap peanut butter for tahini and use pistachios or almonds instead of peanuts. Keep it in the freezer for the best texture and flavor!

Viral Date Bark with a Tahini Twist
Servings
Ingredients
- 12 large Medjool dates pitted and halved
- ½ cup peanut butter or ¼ cup tahini + ¼ cup PBfit for a thicker consistency
- ¼ cup whole peanuts or pistachios/almonds for a nutty upgrade
- 6 ounces very dark chocolate 85% or higher, melted
Instructions
- Prepare the Base: Line a small baking sheet with parchment paper. Split open and flatten the dates onto the sheet, pressing them together to create a solid base.
- Add the Creamy Layer: Spread peanut butter (or the tahini-PBfit mix) evenly over the dates.
- Sprinkle & Coat: Scatter nuts on top, gently pressing them into the peanut butter/tahini layer.
- Drizzle with Chocolate: Pour the melted dark chocolate over everything, smoothing it with a spatula so it fully coats the bark. Sprinkle with flaky sea salt if desired.
- Freeze & Enjoy: Place in the freezer for at least 30 minutes until firm. Break into pieces and enjoy straight from the freezer for the best texture!
- Tip: The contrast of frozen dates and creamy nut butter with snappy dark chocolate makes this treat irresistible. Store in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 3 months (if it lasts that long!).
