You can add chicken or beef or tofu to this to make it a more complete meal, but it is great as it is.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablesppon vegetable oil
  • 1 onion finely chopped
  • 2 Cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1/2 can baby corn cut up
  • 1 lb. mushrooms sliced
  • 3 green onions diced
  • 1 tablespoon Soy Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon rice vinegar
  • 1/4 teaspoon seseam oil
  • 1 teaspoon arrowroot or cornstarch
  • 1 cup broccoli flowerets
  • 1 pound fresh lo mein noodles or cooked spaghetti

Instructions

  • 1 Heat wok or large pan over high heat. Mix soy sauce, vinegar, sesame oil and arrowroot in a bowl, set aside. Add oil and onion, saute for 2 minutes. Add garlic and ginger, stir until frargrant. 2 Add baby corn and mushrooms and broccoli. Stir until beginning to turn color. Add noodles and then sauce, mix up until it is all incorporated. 3 Serve hot.

    I think that would actually be really good, I am a huge silan fan since moving to Israel too so I will have to try it.

    Question:Can I substitute Silan for the maple syrup? Real maple syrup is hard to find in Israel
