Double Espresso Hot Chocolate

Did you know that the coffee flavor enhances the chocolate? While this would be amazing for a midday pick me up, there is not too much caffeine and I believe the liquor effect counteracts it so you can enjoy this amazing treat anytime. I made it with Almond milk, which means it is non dairy!! And using my own blend of cocoa and sugar keeps the calories down too.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounce plain almond milk
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon pure cooca powder
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • dash salt
  • 1 ounce Morad Double Espresso liqueur
  • Marshmallow or Whipped Cream for Garnish

Preparation

Heat milk in a large microwaveable glass about 1 minute.  Add cocoa and sugar and salt and mix well.  Heat a little longer to desired temperature, between 30 seconds and a minute, making sure it doesn't overflow.  Remove from microwave add Morad Double Espresso Liqeuer and top with marshmallow or whipped cream.  Sit back and relax.
