A tasty and economical way to feed a crowd during the holidays, this chicken dish is sweet but never cloying.
Despite its name, this chicken is not too sweet. The olive oil, soy sauce, garlic and pepper temper the honey perfectly.

Can I prepare this Thursday night, let the chicken marinate in the fridge, and then bake it on Friday before shabbos?
Yes, that would be fine.
Simplest would be to make and bake ahead and just reheat. If you wanted to make it on the stovetop you would need to braise it. So you would brown the pieces of chicken first then pour over the sauce and cook covered for about 30 minutes on low.
