Ultimate dry rub for Kabobs

ULTIMATE DRY RUB KEBOBS

We could eat Israeli style every Shabbat, in fact, we sort of do, but it’s particularly perfect in the heat of Summer.  Lots of Salatim, quick grilled kebobs and you don’t need much else.

SUN DRIED TOMATO FALAFEL SALAD

Everyone loves falafel, whether you make your own with this Modern Israeli twist using sun-dried tomatoes or just heat some from the freezer, when you serve on a salad it’s a great first course.

ULTIMATE DRY RUB KEBOBS

Kebobs are any kind of meat on a stick and grilled.  This recipe is all about the dry rub, once you have your spices you can choose your choice of meat and follow our directions for the perfect marinade.

CHOCOLATE HALVA MOUSSE

Rich, creamy, non-dairy, this mousse will blow you away and the addition of halva is pure genius.

I love using ground beef in a “Meatloaf Rolade”, layering beef, spicy mashed potatoes & either ground lamb or veal–rolling it up like a cake roll. Yummy!

Love using chopped meat in meatball minestrone soup. I use Suzie Fishbein’s recipe which we all love. Sometimes I sub veal chopped meat or combine the two.
Chicken fricassee is also a fave. Chicken wings, split in two, necks, giblets and of course meatballs onions and mushrooms…

I make Hungarian Chicken Fricassee – mini meatballs (meat, minced onion & garlic, egg, matzo meal) with pieces of chicken in a brown gravy that includes onions and bell pepper. Lots of pepper and paprika (hence the “Hungarian”). Sometimes I throw in pieces of beef chuck too. This over wide noodles or over rice is true “Comfort Food”! The meatballs make the dish.

My favorite way to enjoy ground beef is the classic hamburger. I like it grilled, served on a soft onion roll with mayo and lots of lettuce, tomato and pickle. Oh, and mild cheddar cheese.

Not much of a meat person due to previous lack of quality kosher meat on the market, but I think that’s about to change (happily)! I do enjoy using ground beef in a veggie stir fry or meat sauce. Cheers!

I make a moist meatloaf with 1 lb. ground beef and 1 lb. ground turkey, one egg, one slice of challah crumbled and fresh chopped garlic. Mix it up. Top with half ketchup and half-AI sauce, bake at 350 (slow so it says juicy) for about an hour.
