I can’t say Dad is ever too surprised when I do something well, because let’s face it—he always expects great things from me!

The fact is, he’s the one who gave me the confidence to believe in myself from the very beginning, and the gumption to do anything and everything I ever wanted. For that—and for teaching me how to ride a bike and how to drive a car (I can still hear him shouting, “Look where you’re going! Look where you’re going!”)—I want to say a massive thank you.

I looked where I was going, Dad—and now, look where I am!

I won’t be able to spend this Father’s Day in person with my Dad, but in his honor, we are hosting an absolute epic Father’s Day BBQ spread. Okay, okay, correction: Hubby will be the one working the grill, but I am the mastermind behind the menu!

For all of you planning your own backyard celebrations, I have pulled together 12 fabulous, crowd-pleasing recipes. This year, we have a special, ultra-indulgent focus on Bourbon, Bacon (the kosher beef or turkey kind, of course!), and Ribs—the ultimate trio of Father’s Day comfort foods.

Whether your dad wants a slow-smoked rack of ribs slathered in sticky bourbon sauce or he’s more of a classic burger and hot dog kind of guy, we have you completely covered. Get ready to make Dad feel like a king, and let’s get grilling!
