Ingredients

Cinnamon Roll

  • 1 pounds challah dough
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil, such as Colavita
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup dairy free milk

Onion Pocket

Pizza

  • ½ pound challah dough
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil, such as Colavita
  • ⅓ cup pizza sauce
  • ½ cup pizza shredded cheese
  • Toppings of choice

Burger Buns

  • ⅓ pound challah dough
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil, such as Colavita
  • Sesame seeds
  • A meat (or vegan) burger
  • 1 tablespoon mayonaise
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • Red onion, lettuce and tomato

Focaccia

  • 2 pounds challah dough
  • ⅔ cup extra virgin olive oil, such as Colavita
  • Veggies to decorate: red onion, zucchini strips, rainbow peppers

Garlic Knots

  • ½ pound challah dough
  • 4 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil, such as Colavita
  • ¼ cup chopped Garlic
  • Chopped parsley

Chocolate Babka

  • 2 pounds challah dough
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil, such as Colavita
  • ½ cup chocolate spread
  • ⅓ cup chocolate chips
  • ½ cup sugar water

Za'atar Breadsticks

Preparation

For the Cinnamon Rolls:
1. Preheat oven to 350℉/ 175℃
2. Roll out the challah dough into a rectangle
3. Brush with Colavita Olive Oil
4. Brush sugar and cinnamon to cover the whole dough, leaving a slight space on the edges
5. Roll up the dough tightly
6. Cut about 2 inches apart
7. Line up the pieces in a cake tin 
8. Bake 30-40 minutes until the top looks golden
9. Mix the powdered sugar and non-dairy milk of choice in a small bowl
10. Pour generously over the hot cinnamon rolls. Enjoy!

For the Onion Pockets:
1. Preheat oven to 350℉/ 175℃
2. Roll dough out into a flat circle or square
3. Spread the onion generously onto the dough
4. Fold the bottom half of the dough into the middle then fold the top of the dough into the middle also
5. Do the same with each side so that you are left with a small square
6. Put into a small baking dish or glass oven-safe pyrex
7. Brush generously with olive oil and put more onions on top
8. Bake for 30 minutes or until the onions begin to look crispy. Enjoy!

For the Pizza:
1. Preheat oven to 400℉/ 200℃
2. Roll out dough into a flat circle
3. Move onto a baking tray
4. Brush with Colavita Olive Oil
5. Spread pizza sauce, sprinkle with the cheese and add your favorite topping
5. Bake for 20 minutes. Cut into triangles. Enjoy!

For the Burger Bun:
1. Preheat oven to 350℉/ 175℃
2. Roll dough between your hands into a round circle
3. Place on baking sheet and brush generously with Colavita Olive Oil
4. Sprinkle to cover with sesame seeds
5. Bake for 20 minutes
6. Slice the burger bun and put in the burger, mayo, ketchup and veggies. Enjoy!

For the Focaccia:
1. Preheat oven to 400℉/ 200℃
2. Brush a big sheet pan with ⅓ cup of Colavita Olive Oil
3. Place dough and patiently flatten into the sheet pan until it covers all of it, make sure to get the corners. If the dough starts to fight you, let it rest for 5-10 minutes and try again
4. Use your fingers to press into the entire dough
5. Brush with the remaining Colavita Olive Oil
6. Decorate with the veggies
7. Bake 30-40 minutes. Enjoy!

For the Garlic Knots:
1. Preheat oven to 320℉/ 160℃
2. Roll out into a flat rectangle
3. Brush with 2 tablespoons Colavita Olive Oil
4. Sprinkle most of the garlic. Save some for the topping
5. Roll up the dough and roll out into a long strand
6. Knot up the stand leaving the ends long
7. Brush with the remaining Colavita Olive Oil. Sprinkle with chopped garlic and parsley
8. Bake 15-20 minutes. Enjoy!

For the Chocolate Babka:
1. Preheat oven to 350℉/ 175℃
2. Roll out challah dough into a large flat rectangle
3. Spread the chocolate spread on the whole dough
4. Sprinkle the chocolate chips
5. Roll up the dough from the long side so that you are left with a long strand
6. Use a pizza cutter or a sharp knife to cut the dough right up the middle of the strand
7. Face the 2 parts of the strands up so that the chocolate is facing up
8. Cross the stands in the middle and then twist them together
9. Move into a cake tin and brush with Colavita Olive Oil
10. Let it rise for one hour
1.1 Bake 30-40 minutes
12. As soon as it comes out of the oven, pour the sugar water over the whole thing. Enjoy!

For the Za'atar Breadsticks:
1. Preheat oven to 320℉/ 160℃
2. Cut the dough into several equal sizes. Roll each one up into a super-thin strand
3. Fold the thin strand down the middle and twist together
4. Place all the twisted strands onto a baking tray and brush with olive oil
5. Bake 15 minutes then take out of the oven
6. Brush with more olive oil and sprinkle the Za'atar on top
7. Bake for 5-10 more minutes, checking frequently to make sure the za'atar doesn't burn
8. Enjoy, extra delicious when dipped in labneh or greek yogurt!
