Happy Mother’s Day Memories – Love You Mommy!

For so many years I took for granted what it means to have a mother who supports and loves you. Who thinks the world of you and prays for you. Whose entire life revolves around your happiness and success. Who only encourages and builds you up. Who believes in you with every fiber of her being. Believes you can accomplish anything and everything.

I was speaking to a friend a while back who shared that her mother was nothing like this. I couldn’t believe it. I didn’t know mothers were made any other way. I always thought unconditional love, support and positivity were the cornerstones of motherhood.

While I always hoped that I showed my appreciation for the never ending list of gifts (both physical and spiritual) that my mother has given to me — that conversation reminded me that my constant was not a given.

My mother was my first friend and my first fan. She is the leader of the pack (that now includes Hubby and the kids). She shares everything I do on her Facebook page at least 100 times (usually more). She is fiercely protective and famously loves introducing herself as “Jamie Geller’s mother”. With my mom by my side I truly feel I can do and be anything, accomplish every dream and scale to the highest spiritual heights. Confidence is the greatest gift a mother can give her daughter.

Enjoy this walk down memory lane. This first slide show is from birth until recently.  Reminding me the love of a mother is strong and constant, at every stage of life.

This second slide show is a compilation of my mom’s favorite foods (she has a thing for mousse and fries), which are conveniently perfect for Mother’s Day.

I love you Mommy, and yes I know you “love me more” –  I never understood how that could be until I was blessed to be a mother too. I love you Mommy!!!! Happy Mother’s Day!!!

And love to all you moms out there who love and cook and hug me through your messages.  I have endless appreciation for you all.  Today is your day, I hope you can feel me hugging you back through these words.
